So...I have just recently entered the blogging world so I never gotten a blogging "award" before! But I was nominated for the Stork Award! woo hoo! ::jumps for joy:: Thanks to KatiB, The Juice Is Worth The Squeeze, for the nomination.

How it works:
1. Add the avatar for the award in your blog post (done)
2. Link to the blog that nominated you (also done)
3. Answer the ten questions given to you
4. Nominate bloggers
5. Ask your nominee's their ten questions
6. Let your nominee's know they've been awarded (working on this one)
7. Put the award icon on your side bar if so inclined (yeah, I have no idea how to manage this one)

Questions given to me:
1. If you could change your first name, what would it be? Hmmmm, I used to love the name Jennifer. I don't know why. I always used to wish that had been my name.
2. What is one of your irrational fears? This is easy. I have a MAJOR irrational fear of fire. I know, fear of fire fire can be a rational fear but I take it to irrational extremes. I unplug everything all the time for fear it will catch on fire. I refuse to leave the house with the dryer or other appliances on. Sometimes I go back in the house 2-3 times in the morning to make sure the curling iron or other devices are turned off. DH gets quite frustrated with me. I blame it on my mom letting me watch Recuse 9-1-1 as a kid.
3. What is your favorite or most used ap if you have a smart phone? hmmmm....probably myfitnesspal. I track everything I eat so I use it all the time.
4. What's something odd that you're good at? I am a pretty good tap dancer (I am not sure how odd that is). I danced for like 15 years. I even taught tap dancing my senior year in high school.
5. Favorite movie? This is hard. Depends on what mood I am in. I love old sad movies like Terms Of Endearment, Love Story, and When A Man Loves A Woman. Those are my go to movies when I am home a lone and needed a good flick. Oh, I also shamelessly love all of the Step Up movies.
6. What's the best meal you've ever had? This is a tie between the gnocci at Restaurant August in New Orleans or the amazing meal we had at Fleur De Lys in San Franciso. Both were amazing and completely unforgettable.
7. What was one of your funniest moments in life? hmmmm....I don't know if this is the funniest but it is all I can think of. DH and I got engaged in Puerta Penasco, Mexico on the beach. Like other places in Mexico if you are in the touristy parts you are okay but you do not want to stray too far. Well, DH asked me to take a walk on the beach at sunset with the plans he was going to propose. The touristy part of the beach was really crowded though so we walked a long ways until we ended up in a not so nice part of the beach. Well at the point DH later said he was afraid if he pulled out the ring we would get mugged so we walked all the way back to the other side finally trespassing on a private beach area for a little privacy. It turned out to be a nice proposal but I was so confused as to why we walked for almost an hour all the way around the beach for no reason.
8. Who was your teenage celebrity crush? I can't think of a teenage one but when I was in middle school (or maybe younger) I LOVED Neil Patrick Harris. I had those Tiger Beat and Teen Bop posters of him all over my walls.
9. What was the worst date you have had like? It was a first date and we went to see this movie called Here On Earth thinking it would be a nice romantic comedy. Oh no....it was SO sad and I boo hooed through the whole thing. It was completely embarassing and not the scene you want for your first date.
10. Did you have a moment where you knew your DH was "the one"? Yes. It was right before our first semester finals in law school. I had a spinal tap that went very badly. Like leaking spinal fluids and had to go to the ER multiple times until they patched the hole badly. DH and I were just friends at the time but he was amazing. He took me to the ER and sat with me when I couldn't move. All of this at the expense of his study time since finals were the next week. The moment I knew he was the one though was after they did the blood patch to fix the hole. They basically took blood from my arm and used it to patch the hole in my back. Well, I loved alone and when I got home I had some kind of reaction to the mediation from the hospital and was violently sick. Like called 9-1-1 because I was going to die sick. I called DH and he came immediately to my apartment and followed the ambulance to the hospital. He sat on this little stool next to my bedside all night. I knew then that he was an amazing man who I would be with forever. Cheesy, I know, but it is the truth.
Now I get to nominate others: I am going to nominate some of those blogs that I have been shamelessly stalking for a while now. :)

I stole this from KatiB but seriously "these things are supposed to be fun do this only if you feel like it and have time - no pressure from me. Just a nice way to get to know ya a little better."
