Well, we are one week closer to find out if we are team blue or pink! The suspense is killing me!
Today is my 8 year wedding anniversary! I can't believe it has already been 8 years. It is also the 7 year anniversary of the day we got our little basset hound, Flash.
I am starting to feel the flutters every once in a while that I think are the baby moving! That has been really exciting. I also literally sprouted a bump almost overnight. Maybe I am just more swollen or bloated than usual, but seriously!
I went and had a girls weekend with my MIL and SIL this weekend. I had such a great time! We went shopping for the baby and bought lots of stuff we need. That was my first baby shopping trip so it actually started to feel real when we were buying baby clothes and burp cloths. I had a moment in the store where I almost stopped and realized "Whoa -- we are actually having a baby." It was kind of surreal.
My grandparents sent me the money to buy the crib and mattress and my MIL gave me the money to buy the dresser and changing topper, but I can't bring myself to buy it yet. Every time I go to do it I almost panic about what I will do with all of the furniture if something goes wrong. I think I will just hold onto the money until after our MFM apt next week. Hopefully I will feel a little better after seeing the baby again.
I get more and more annoyed at people telling me second tri is going to be amazing and I am going to have all of this energy because those people suck. Second tri has not been amazing, it has been hard. I am more tired than I was in first tri, I am vomiting more, and now I am having trouble sleeping because I am growing in all sorts of places. Stupid second tri. I am still keeping to my workout schedule pretty consistently though. That is helping give me some energy.
