Well, today was my first OB appt and I am officially a "normal" pregnant person. First of all, being in the waiting room of the OB is SO strange after waiting in the RE's office for so long. Everyone is pregnant -- that is hard to get used to.
My OB was awesome. I am really going to like him, I think. Everything is still looking great. We got to see the baby and it was surreal. It is actually starting to look like a baby. We could see the little fingers and toes and s/he was flipping and flopping like crazy. It was nuts! S/he basically stood on his head so we got a good picture of the brain. The OB said you could see the two hemispheres which looked good. We saw the heart flicker. And the baby gave us a butt shot and there was something in between the baby's legs. The OB pointed it out and said "there is something there." He said you can't really determine gender this early, but you never know. LOL. We will wait and see what they say at our a/s before picking our nursery colors or anything.
We got a few pictures but s/he was moving around so much it was hard to get a good one.
All of my exercise restrictions have been lifted. I am SO glad to be able to zumba again -- it has been way too long! I don't go back for a month! AH! That seems like such a long time. Luckily I got the referral I needed for the NT scan so I will get to see the baby one more time before then.
Then I had to get a million vials of blood drawn. I told the lady at the lab that it was a lot of blood she was taking and she said "that is what happens when you are pregnant." LOL Then she asked me a million questions about how far along I am, is this my first, etc.
We are almost out of the first trimester. I am considering 13 weeks the first trimester -- I know some people consider it 12 weeks. I ordered a little OKC Thunder onesie so we can make a FB announcement.
It is all so real. I cannot believe it. I think it is finally starting to sink in for DH too that this might actually stick. He is finally starting to get giddy with excitement whereas before he has been kind of reserved.
Well, that is the update for today.
Here is the latest pic of the LO.
